On 14.11.98 (Saturday), it was said that AFP Reporter was arrested by the police and was later released after more than an hour. (or was he just pulled up for questioning??). Was he subjected to a "neutralising" or "turning over" exercise? The reporter has not yet been contacted to find out what really happened.

In any event, the AFP report of a demonstration in Kampung Baru on 17.11.98 stated that there were only about "200 people" ...observers said that there were about 1,500 - 2,000 persons. AFP had been one wire service that gave accurate reports of the happenings in KL without fear and favour. Is this report an indication that the AFP reporter on sight have been "turned over"??? No conclusions can be reached at this moment.
