Acceptable Use Policy
Your use of c2o services is subject to the following terms and conditions.General
- All c2o Users are covered by these terms and conditions. A c2o User is any person who is granted access to c2o services, as the registered holder of a c2o User Identification.
- As a c2o User, you are able to gain access to c2o via your User Identification and Password. Your password allows access to c2o under your User ID, and it is your responsibility to maintain its confidentiality.
- The contract giving you the right to use c2o services under your registered User ID, and binding you to these terms and conditions, commences with your first use of c2o services.
- Any material entered into any c2o service is considered a "publication" by that User, and has the same legal status as a publication in writing or any other form. c2o will be deemed the carrier of such information, not the publisher.
c2o Users' Rights and Obligations
- The Users' User Identification and confidential password provides access to c2o services under that name. As such, the User is soley responsible for:
- any material entered onto c2o services through use of their User ID;
- any c2o charges incurred through use of their User ID;
- breached of these conditions resulting directly or indirectly from the use of their User ID; and
- breaches of civil or criminal laws resulting directly or indirectly from the use of their User ID.
- Users have the right to redistribute without prior consent any information obtained from c2o services, providing that such distribution:
- Is consistent with any copyright notice attached to that information;
- Is accompanied by and acknowledgement to c2o and/or the original source;
- Is non-commercial and not-for-profit; and
- Is accompanied by these conditions.
- Users consent to the same redistribution conditions (as detailed in part 2) on any material they place on c2o services, unless a specific notice reserving copyright or imposing other conditions on the further use of that material is attached to it.
- Users must abide by policies regarding appropriate use of specific information areas or services provided by or hosted on c2o. In particular:
- Postings to newsgroups, chat boards, mailing lists, guestbooks and forums should be appropriate to the stated functions of these services;
- Normal standards of personal conduct (courtesy, language, etc.) should be adhered to in all network interactions;
- Sending of unsolicited mail should be avoided; and
- Unwelcome harassment of other c2o and other Internet Users is not acceptable.
- Users will indemnify c2o for any liability incurred as a result of violation of copyright, false or libelous information placed on its services and the Internet, or illegal activities conducted through the use of the User ID.
Process for Third Party Complaints
If a c2o User, or member of the public, wishes to notify c2o of a potential violation of this Acceptable Use Policy they should do so by sending an email to office (at) apc.org.au. c2o will review such communication as quickly as possible and take action as deemed appropriate by c2o.
